17th Teapots and Tea Things Tuesday:

Things are Not Always What They Seem

"Real difficulties can be overcome; it is only the imaginary ones that are unconquerable".

I feel blessed that you have joined us for tea today. Did the the past week bring you health and happiness and the satisfaction of living life well? Let's get cozy and chat while I pour you a cup of tea and find a sweet in the pantry. I hope that you feel blessed and refreshed after your visit.

Some things are not what they seem...

I purchased this teacup last week at an outdoor antique sale

This was one of my mother's teapots

Some one very dear to me is in the midst of an unexpected situation. A time of uncertainty and disappointment.  My heart aches with every beat it takes along with this dear one. But I know in my heart that most situations are not all what they seem.

My dear father would say, "It is a turn in the road".  We cannot see around the curve but God can, and we are to have faith that   the road will safely take us to our unplanned destination.  That closed doors and halted dreams are ripe opportunities for alterations of the present into something bigger and better than we could imagine.  God gives us a nudge in a new direction, not to fill us with fear but to strengthen our character, refine our spirit and lead us to places undiscovered, yet .

Do not fear!

  11. That teacup is beautiful and so is your Mother's Sadler teapot. I have a couple of Sadler pots, but not as grand as that one. Oh, how I'd love a piece of that cake with the cuppa I'm drinking right now.

  13. Pam, this table setting really appeals to me, perhaps it is because of the well chosen pieces, the white tablecloth as a background and the amazing bouquet of flowers giving added height. Delcie

  20. One of my favorite prayers: "Lord, I didn't ask for this pain, I don't want this pain, and I don't like this pain. But Father, if I am going to have this pain, I pray that You will take my pain and use it for your good. In Jesus Name, Amen. Thank you for sharing your lovely tea table design. I love the way the pieces compliment each other. Cherry Kay
