The 22nd, Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday:Turquoise Teaset;

Welcome to the 22nd,
'Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday'

An archaeologist is the best husband any woman can have;
the older she gets, the more interested he is in her.

                                                                    Agatha Christie

I have waited to present my next tea set for this very week. This tea set was a gift to my parents on their wedding day. If my dad had not passed away three years ago, my parents would have celebrated their marriage of sixty yearsthis October second For my dear father, time only increased his love for my mother,  and his faith in God to resolve life's challenges. He was not always a romantic man, but when he remembered, those moments of unconditional love shone as bright as the stars.  Their anniversary was a date he never forgot. Mom always received a large bouquet of flowers on the second of October. So as the day approaches,  I can give her flowers but our memories will certainly bring him to our minds and hearts.

As we take our places around the tea table this week, may I ask you to raise a pretty teacup and salute all devoted couples who have persevered through the years with love and faith in their hearts. To those who have dealt with the oversights, forgiven each others follies and looked to keep their love alive.

I started early this morning, determined to be prepared for you.

  34. It is so sad when two people have shared their lives for such a long time there comes an end it and one is left.
    I would love to sit down with you and celebrate the many many years they spent together, no doubt with ups and downs, with happiness and sadness, but always with love in their hearts.
    Very very pretty china! That would be very festive to use! The turquoise is so attrative.
    Have a happy weekend,
    Jacoba
