14th Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday:

Simplicity......

In character, in manners, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.
                                                                          Julia Kavanagh

It's hot!
The heat of summer forces me to slow down and pare down.  To prioritize what is necessary. Too hot to do the multitude of things that I typically do in a week.  But, tea time is a must! There is no question whether or not to have tea with dear friends . I will simplify today.   K*I*S*S the tea  (K*I*S*S- Keep it simple and stylish, your style).

Crisp white and cool turquoise

I'll set the table

What could be simpler than picking Queen Anne's Lace for a centre piece?

Lacey like the Queen Anne's Lace

I love the Polka Dot teacup. I would love to have more...one in every colour!!

Tea is served
What sweet will be offered?

As a young wife I wanted to adorn the house with a fresh bouquet of flowers.
Needing to be frugal I went to the park and picked a large groupig of Queen Anne's Lace.
Then proudly arranged  them in a large vase for a dinner party, only to find out that Mr R was allergic to them.  So once tea is done I will move my pitcher of blooms to the deck.

I Timothy 6:6
A devout life does bring wealth, but it's the rich simplicity of being yourself before God.

And another week begins. We thank all who are so generous with their time and willing to share their treasures with us. We invite you to take a moment to enjoy the vignettes and special tea treasures that the lovely tea ladies have to share, compliments of Mr Linky. The sincere invitation to join the party is always there.

  6. Pam, I love this...you know what, I think we have Queen Anne's Lace growing all over the place here. I see it everywhere and wondered what it was...I'll have to take another photo before it goes away for the summer and post it here...I love it..and Diana and Anne would collect Queen Anne's Lace in the Anne of Green Gbles books...so if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us :) :) :) Love the polka dot teacups too!!! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  12. Hi Pam,
I have found you through Wanda Lee and put your badge on my blog.
Your post is so pretty: most adorable teacups, but I love your photography and all that you showed just as much.
    Keep cool!
Over here we have these sudden thunderstorms that mess up my plans in the garden. So ... there is but one solution: drinking tea with my friends.
Nice to find you on here.
    Have a nice day,
    Jacoba
