18th Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday:

Welcome to our 18th,
 'Teapot And Tea
Things Tuesday',

a delightful part of..,
Tuesday And Wednesday Teatime
In Blogland!..,

I still find each day too short for all the
thoughts I want to think, all the walks
I want to take, all the books I want to read,
and all the friends I want to see.

                                                                                            John Burroughs

Welcome dear friends to another Tuesday tea. I did not forget what day it is!!  My computer caught a nasty virus and was not up to working the last day or two. As with all viruses, the proper medicinal remedies and time, one recovers.  The important thing is that we are here, together.

I am so glad  to spend some time with you and relax with a cup of tea. As the relaxed pace of summer comes to an end and the autumn approaches, with its new routines, I think it is still important to steal a few moments for the things that you enjoy and stay connected with friends. Remember to keep it simple, so you are not overwhelmed. (K*I*S*S Keep it simple and stylish, your style)

My favorite time of year to walk is in the fall. Its not too hot and the gardens are so lush and bountiful. I found my inspiration for this week's tea from one of these walks. Lets take a walk through our neighbourhood and then chat over a cup of hot aromatic tea.

A Simple Tea

I will set the table

Flowers in abundance on Chintz candle holders
A sweet little cream and sugar set from my Aunt Murle.
She was the oldest of ten children.

White and gold compliment everything.

layers and scrolls

Teacups and desert plates found in the box with
Blossom Time tea set here from my dear friend Kelita

Large cake plate was a wedding gift, over 30 years ago.
Maybe a variety of homemade cookies would be nice...
oatmeal and raisin, chocolate chip, peanut butter, hermits, macaroons...
What's your fancy?

First cup

Second cup

This brooch was my mom's. She had a collection of critters in her jewellery box.
They are not my fashion style but I am going to attempt to use them
in other creative ways in the weeks to come.
Do you have any suggestions?

Tea is served. Enjoy!

Ecclesiastes 5:18 (New International Version)

Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him—for this is his lot.

  8. I forgot to answer your questions. Yes, I Google for history on my cups. I also have a book on tea cups from England.
When I take the photo of the bottom of the cup for the backstamp I use a closeup setting and then in photoshop I crop out all but the stamp area and then that image looks closer when put on blogger. I hope that helps.
    Hugs,
    Terri
