WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?

The 23rd
Teapot And  Tea Things Tuesday

Of all the things you wear,
your expression is the most important.
                                                                     Janet Lane

Another week has gone by with several unexpected events......should I be surprised??  And once again I am in catch-up mode.  This may be the first Progressive Blog Post.  If you have enjoyed a progressive dinner you know what I mean.  A supper, served course by course at different particapants homes.  This post will be served "course by course" as the day progresses into evening.  Hopefully fun for you and a way to keep me on track.  I am working today until 8 PM when I will be posting pictures and prose there after.

Tea will be served!
Please make yourself comfortable at the tea table as you so patiently wait.
Thank you for your kindness

The Appetizer

How has the weather been where you are? The weather has been a changin' in our province. Very cool at night yet as the day progresses and the sun shines, it becomes quite warm.  Then there are days like today, when it just becomes cooler and grey-er as the day goes by and it may even rain.

The question I pose to myself every morning (with or without The Weathernetwork) ....what do I wear, what do I bring, what do I prepare for? My best quess may be "dead on" or "off the mark" in regards to my apparell.

But every day, all year long, the choice I do have is; "What expression do I wear on my face?"  I guess it all stems from the attitude you enter the day with. Despite the cool, wet weather I find it hard not be mystified by the complexity and beauty of nature in the fall. Colored leaves that float and spiral down from a canvas of yellow, orange and umber. The twinkle of sun beams that seem somehow to be even more magical when looking through a  canopy of colored leaves. The smells of dampness and mustiness of the forest floor that provide an overload of sensory stimulation not found at any other time of year. A perfect contrast to sweet apple  or spiced pumpkin pie baking in the oven. Did I see a smile on your face?

This week I bring you my introduction to fall. Teacups that echo the mellow cinnamon colors of the season. A combination of formality with whimsy.  My desire is that they inspire you to reflect on the joys of life and help you dress your face with  expressions of happiness and gratitude.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (New International Version)

22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
