The 29th Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday: Pretty Pastels, Pearls And White Hydrangeas:

Welcome to the 29th,

Teapot And Tea Things

Faith isn't the ability to believe long and far into the misty future.

The daybreak and the day's end of several days this week, have been grey and hazey with thick fog. The fog created ghostly images of what was so apparent after the sun burned through the fog, later in the day.  Perhaps this is one of the best examples of what it means to have faith. Having vision when things aren't clear, seeing beyond the haze and trusting on what you know to be true.

The Autumn continues to linger here.  Sadly, the colour she flourished with a few weeks ago is waning. Nature's backdrop of vibrant hues are diminishing.  Slowly the landscape takes on various shades of grey and brown.  This really puts me in the mood for a steaming cup of tea with a friend.  I am delighted that you had time to stop in.

Gathering some pretties for my table

I purchased these on the same day
They looked like they belonged to with each other

This is the most beautiful blue

The creamiest pale yellow

Tiny blue bud in a cloud of white
I didn't know it was there, until my photos were done.
Do you suppose it could be faith or hope?

Creme fraiche with your scone?

The sugar is protected by a vintage lace doilie
adorned with wooded buttons and blue bows.

This was a well loved teacup.
I am thinking that she was left handed
since the wear is on the other side of the rim

The table is set and waiting for you. Perhaps, a cup of Earl Grey and scones, to match the mood of the day. Better yet, a cup of London Fog. (recipe will be posted at the end of the week for Foodie Friday)

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

It's simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.

  14. This is such a lovely post! And the well-worn teacup has to be my favorite, not because of the way it looks, but because of the imaginative spirit that takes hold of me as I think about the lady who must have really enjoyed her tea. Thank you for sharing that. May God richly bless you as you give thanks over the holiday for all the blessings of life.

  15. Beautiful post - exquisite teacups! My daughter and I were out all day yesterday - I had to travel 45 min. to a meeting - it was a gorgeous trip! I am thankful for the amazing colors of Fall that are still displayed here in central Georgia.
I think it is wonderful in the winter to see the structure of things - I find the beauty of the shape of the trees and their branches reaching up toward heaven a beautiful sight -
