Welcome to the 3rd,
'Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday'!..,
TRUE SKY BLUE TEA
Tea is almost ready. Do make your self comfortable. The dainty scones are browning up in the oven. I will put a grand dollop of creme fraiche in the glass. Let's chat while I set out the dishes. How has your weather been since we last spoke? Our weather has been so pleasant the last few days. The sun has been warm and the sky blue, a true blue. That inspired me to choose my petite blue teapot for this week, to share with you. What did you use for your inspiration?
THIS IS A SHARED MEME WITH WANDA AT PLUMED PEN.
I am setting up tea on my luggage table.
I found these matching suitcases at a tag sale a number of years ago. It didn't seem to have enough surface area so we found a piece of tempered glass to top it.
The tea set was a Christmas present from my son a few years ago. He was undecided as to what I would like. I think he figured it out just fine.

A funky martini glass to display creme fraiche centred on a small plate that will present the scones.
Or perhaps for lemon slices for the discerning taste buds.
The plate has been re-created from a china pattern from the Titanic.

Gold and White ~ How regal
The three sisters were found at an estate sale for $5.00 each
How could I resist?
It was challenging to find the right teacups to compliment the busy-ness of the blue floral pattern of the teapot. The simplicity of the white and gold worked the best.

Blue and white always looks so elegant;undoubtedly why the Titanic had it commissioned for her. Using the regal gold cups added so much to the ambiance.
ReplyDeleteLoved your setting and well - your tea table makes me think that after tea you will be heading off abroad on your Gran Tour. Just move the glass and your all packed & ready to go.
Got to run myself, don't want you to be late either. Bon Voyage.
Hugs,
Penny
I had to laugh when I saw your "table" because I thought of my grandkids and how when they come over I have to take all my glass tabletops and hide them. They are always climbing and knocking things over!! Very pretty teapot--love it. Charming teacups!

Your suitcase table is just awesome, but your tea china is breathtaking. So petty. This is truly stunning. Hugs, Marty
