Do you find that l-o-n-g weekends fly by so very quickly?
This one did for me!!
This rocking chair was in our children's nursery
Many happy memories.
Now a quiet place for me to reflect over a cup of tea.
In one short week we have attended one son's and daughter in-love's engagement party, a visit from our son and his soon-to-be bride, from the west coast and my sister in-law's wedding, out of town. Our daughter was in the wedding party.
My son from BC and his soon-to-be bride came home for the four days to attend the wedding and reconnect with our extended family. No visit is ever long enough with them. This visit was compressed into a few hours, spread over a couple of days.
Short but sweet.
A silver tray adorned with a Scottish napkin.
A funky white teapot for one,
a special teacup, cream and sugar.
And so my contribution this week is also short but sweet. But I look forward to taking the time in the next couple of days to stop by for tea with you and enjoy your thoughts and treasures.
Antique lace framed and ready to hang.
Still experimenting with that perfect place?
I have learnt that people and relationships are more important than being busy and sometimes we need to slow down, release the should do's for later and concentrate on the people we love.
Thank you notes to write.
Monogram sticker to add a special touch to the back flap of the envelope.
Time to talk to God.
Now it is time to take a quiet moment to help me organize my priorities for the coming week, over a cup of steaming tea. No sweets this time. I will reminisce over the deserts at the wedding.

Hi Pam,

ReplyDeleteThis is my first time to your blog, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! I know Lady Katherine and am on the Tea Time Tuesday train.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said the word, "Scottish napkin" you had me, and then when you showed us your devotional, you really had me! Isn't God wonderful??? I think one reason I enjoy blogging is meeting other people who love to celebrate Him and who appreciate His blessings. Thanks for sharing yours with us...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sounds like you have had a very busy but rewarding few days. So wonderful to get to visit with family. It always seems way too short. I love the pretty tea you set for yourself. How perfect to sit in the rocker, enjoy your tea, visit with the Lord and write a few notes. I can't think of anything better. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
