49th Teapot And Tea Things; Pretty Bird and Floral Teapot and Chintz:

Welcome to ...

the 49th Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday

"A friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love and encourages you with hope."

I was inspired by the sunshine that we enjoyed this weekend and chose yellow to inspire my post. The sun offers hope that the Spring, I long for, is near.  If I look out my window now, everything is white, again. But surely, not for long. Perhaps a belated April Fool's prank.

There aren't any special memories that I can recall connected to these cups. I think they have come from at least 3 different family members. It's not where they came from that unites them but what they have in common (how they compliment each other.) I try to think the same way about family and friends. Its not what family we were born into but the relationships we cultivate between each of us and the way we inspire each other .

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up."

Ecclesiastes 4: 9,10

  1. Spring! Spring! Your post says spring! I'd like some for a few days, please! Thanks! Is that platter by Midwinter? I think it's the Lorna Doone chintz...I have a biscuit barrel in that pattern. I just love the little birds! Thanks so much!

I am still in the midst of spring cleaning - at this rate I'll be doing it through the year - I get distracted by projects, ideas - the garden etc...I remember what it was like to have my house ready for people to come by - and we had three children and a dog in the home - very, very busy time - I hope things go well for you! Thank you for hosting this lovely party - you'll be celebrating a year soon!
