The 83rd, Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday: Blue And White Tea Time:

Welcome to...

83rd 'Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday'

"Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration
is being wreathed in smiles."
                                 ~Author Unknown

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful."
                                                                ~Norman Vincent Peale

As I have toured various sites in Blogdom there is no doubt that Christmas is on everyone's mind. Such amazing and creative displays in every genre and colour.  If you are lacking inspiration you will soon find something to spark your creativity. When you have finished your decorating, please share with us.

I warmly invite you to relax in a comfy chair for a while, with a cup of piping hot tea and reflect on the wonders of this season. I am going to set the tea table and mix up a sweet treat to nibble on as we compare notes on preparing our hearth and home as well as our hearts for Christmas.

"Christmas is a gift of love wrapped in human flesh and tied securely with the strong promises of God. It is more than words can tell, for it is a matter for the heart to receive, believe and understand."

The beginning

I focused the lens on the teacups and then refocused
on the snowflake.
It was an interesting experience.
Just as in life, you see what you focus on.

From a much earlier post

I love the reflection of china in a mirror.
On the practical side the mirror protects
my tablecloth from a drip of milk.
Pretty and practical.

Four blue depression glass plates and tea is for two.
What is that about?

One plate with vintage lace under it
You could also use paper doilies, too

OR ....between two plates

A tidbit or two

The table is almost ready.

A Christmas song to enjoy with your tea, if you wish.

I hope you come often and invite your friends to come too.

So simple and not overly sweet.

If you have a moment to linger I invite you to stop in to The Silken Purse

to see what my co hostess, Wanda, has for us to savour.

The more the fun!

We don't want to miss a single teacup or teapot!

In Blogland

our dear fellow blog friends!

~Wanda Lee's computer has sadly crashed, so she has not and will not be able to post and/or visit you dear folks to leave any comments for awhile.., A basic explanation, a warm 'hello' and a Mr. Linky link* are at the ready and await you on her blog posts today for Tuesday's teas. ~ If you would kindly wish to also offer her a word of encouragement and support and say, 'hello', to her as well, I'm certain that it would be much appreciated. ~ Many thanks in advance.~

Cheers and hugs from Pam and Wanda Lee; ( Wanda Lee is the other half of our weekly blog tea party meme; 'Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday'.., @

  1. I LOVE blue and white so this is perfect! Margaret Furlong angels and all! Thanks so much for starting fun off so beautifully!

  2. Dearest Pam,

I love these blue and white pictures; every image is so lovely; thanks also for co-hosting for our 83rd, Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday, no less!.., Where has the time gone?

On a much less happy note; My computer has majorly crashed! I have most sadly lost all of my family pictures including irreplaceable ones of beloved dearly parted dad, Ginger and Brent's mom..,

.., I am heart sick as I have lost all of my precious, irreplaceable photos!

P.S. ~ Not to blame, as Brent is very good! He of course knows all about protecting and saving his own computer data, (and I even know the basics). Sadly for my situation at present, it is now too late! ~ I have been asking him for help as the computer has struggled for the past month or so, especially. Yet he said he was just too, too busy and now it's too late.., Sigh!

Please do call Pam. ~ Thanks.

  3. Pam this post is lovely as usual for you. Simple, elegant and I agree with your notation about "we see what we focus on..." So true.

  4. So very pretty. Love the cool, cool blues.

  5. Hello Pam,
Your blue and whites are so lovely. I especially like the Maxwell and Williams set! The teacup with the birdies on it is adorable too. Thanks so much for sharing this with us and enjoy your week.

  6. Love, love, love the blue and the snowflakes! Happy Tea Day!

  7. Oh so beautifully festive! I love it all!

  8. I enjoyed your beautiful photos and lovely reflections!

  9. I love all the blue! Makes me think of winter frost, snow, and Christmas. You have a lot of very lovely cups!

  10. The assortment of blues in this tablescape made me think of a wintery snow-white landscape. How fitting, then, that you used snowflakes in your décor. And how poignant was your observance about what we focus on. ;)

Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Your pretty tea settings and wise words are always a welcomed addition to the party.

  12. So Beautifully Done. Thanks for sharing!

  13. What pretty tea cups! I have blue glass plates similar to yours, they are versatile and go with so many things. Laura

  14. Thanks for the tea! Your tea sets are how you used the doilies under the glass plates :)
Love the inpirational quotes you shared too...I hope that you have a wondeful holiday season!
    Big hugs,

  15. Lovely table as usual and I'm in love with you blue teapot especially!!
Poor Wanda Lee!!! Oh how I hope and pray you can get your pictures back!!! We all need to take a lesson from that and backup our own just in case...
Thanks so much for visiting me for Pearls and Lace Thursday! So nice to have you!

  16. How pretty your tea setting is. Love the little snowflake and the pretty little birds on the china cups.

  17. Hi Pam, I just wanted to say thanks for visiting the other day. I didn't have an official 'tea post' but I did do a special Thanksgiving day post with I thought that might work. I do hope I can get back in the groove of doing an occasional tea post. :o) Yours is lovely! I'm sure I'll be posting Christmas decor soon.

  18. Pam,
This is beautiful! I love that blue bird teacup! I had to pin it. I have some gingerbread cooked up and I will come up with a tea if my Dr. appointments don't get in the way. I would love to join you! Thank you for linking up with Home Sweet Home!
