The 83rd, Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday: Blue And White Tea Time:

Welcome to...

83rd 'Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday'

"Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration
is being wreathed in smiles."

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful."

As I have toured various sites in Blogdom there is no doubt that Christmas is on everyone's mind. Such amazing and creative displays in every genre and colour.  If you are lacking inspiration you will soon find something to spark your creativity. When you have finished your decorating, please share with us.

I warmly invite you to relax in a comfy chair for a while, with a cup of piping hot tea and reflect on the wonders of this season. I am going to set the tea table and mix up a sweet treat to nibble on as we compare notes on preparing our hearth and home as well as our hearts for Christmas.

"Christmas is a gift of love wrapped in human flesh and tied securely with the strong promises of God. It is more than words can tell, for it is a matter for the heart to receive, believe and understand."

The beginning

I focused the lens on the teacups and then refocused
on the snowflake.
It was an interesting experience.
Just as in life, you see what you focus on.

From a much earlier post

I love the reflection of china in a mirror.
On the practical side the mirror protects
my tablecloth from a drip of milk.
Pretty and practical.

Four blue depression glass plates and tea is for two.
What is that about?

One plate with vintage lace under it
You could also use paper doilies, too

OR ....between two plates

A tidbit or two

The table is almost ready.

A Christmas song to enjoy with your tea, if you wish.

I hope you come often and invite your friends to come too.

So simple and not overly sweet.

If you have a moment to linger I invite you to stop in to The Silken Purse

to see what my co hostess, Wanda, has for us to savour.

The more the fun!

We don't want to miss a single teacup or teapot!

  2. Dearest Pam,

I love these blue and white pictures; every image is so lovely; thanks also for co-hosting for our 83rd, Teapot And Tea Things Tuesday, no less!.., Where has the time gone?

On a much less happy note; My computer has majorly crashed! I have most sadly lost all of my family pictures including irreplaceable ones of beloved dearly parted dad, Ginger and Brent's mom..,

.., I am heart sick as I have lost all of my precious, irreplaceable photos!

    WL

P.S. ~ Not to blame, as Brent is very good! He of course knows all about protecting and saving his own computer data, (and I even know the basics). Sadly for my situation at present, it is now too late! ~ I have been asking him for help as the computer has struggled for the past month or so, especially. Yet he said he was just too, too busy and now it's too late.., Sigh!

Please do call Pam. ~ Thanks.

  10. The assortment of blues in this tablescape made me think of a wintery snow-white landscape. How fitting, then, that you used snowflakes in your décor. And how poignant was your observance about what we focus on. ;)

Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Your pretty tea settings and wise words are always a welcomed addition to the party.

  17. Hi Pam, I just wanted to say thanks for visiting the other day. I didn't have an official 'tea post' but I did do a special Thanksgiving day post with tablescapes..so I thought that might work. I do hope I can get back in the groove of doing an occasional tea post. :o) Yours is lovely! I'm sure I'll be posting Christmas decor soon.

    Blessings,
    Donna

  18. Pam,
This is beautiful! I love that blue bird teacup! I had to pin it. I have some gingerbread cooked up and I will come up with a tea if my Dr. appointments don't get in the way. I would love to join you! Thank you for linking up with Home Sweet Home!
